34 Y5/6 pupils spent half a day at Oxford University Ruskin School of Art working with artist Tara Benjamin-Morgan drawing and exploring feet, hands and facial emotions. The second half of the day was spent at the Botanic Gardens exploring the range of plants on show to help the children to design and create a new plant. This was a wonderful trip enjoyed by pupils and parents who came along. The pupils’ work will eventually be displayed in our new art studio.
During our assembly today the winners of our writing competition were announced and the new Library Monitors were introduced to the school. They gave us information about an exciting reading challenge; Munch on a Morpurgo and Dine on a Donaldson.
