See what we’ve been up to…

Our Eco Club took part in a Litter Pick, they were working with The Kier Clancy Docwra Construction Group by their site near the Health Centre.

Forest School Maintenance club have been busy making new nets to cover the pond, clearing the stream (which prevents flooding) and cutting back while putting chipping on the paths. They even made some super ‘pink’ firelighters (some of the wax was red).

Congratulations to our pupils who took part and won the Tag Rugby tournament! The event held at King Alfred’s West Site went down to extra time with Charlton competing against Stockham School. Our team looked very smart in their brand new PE tops!

Hello! We are currently enjoying the sunshine at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Centre. The children, Mrs Gill and Miss Smith are all racing in Dragon Boats whilst we supervise from the side! This afternoon we have aeroball and Jacob’s ladder. Everyone is smiling and having a great time!

On Thursday 28th June Oak Class spent the afternoon with Mrs Barnes down in the Nature Reserve as part of our Habitats topic. We looked at different creatures that call the pond home and we all made bug hotels out of natural materials found in the local area. We are very grateful to Mrs Barnes and our parent helpers for giving up their afternoon to take us to the Nature Reserve which is such a wonderful resource for the school. We even had hot chocolate with marshmallows!!
